Comet

Comet is another of my all time favorites. ^_^ My aunt knew I collected MLPs, so when she saw Applejack for $0.60 at a thrift store, she picked him up. Unfortunately, Applejack had a haircut. (Actually, it made him look kind of cute. He had on the shirt from "Having A Luau", which gave him a Hawaiian look. ^_^) Since Applejack is a common pony, I decided (dum duh duh DUM!) to customize him! However, I quickly ran into a problem . . . there was a reason Hasbro didn't make very many orange ponies. The reason is that it doesn't match anything. I ran through the rainbow and quickly concluded that only red, orange, or yellow hair would do. Well, I wasn't about to replace yellow hair with more yellow hair, and I couldn't even think of a MLP with orange hair. (I only use real MLP hair on my customs. Nothing else feels right.) That left red hair . . . so I sorted through my extras box and found . . . Moondancer? Well, why not? I love that wine-red color! ^_^

However, I ran into a problem . . . Applejack's mold requires more hair than Moondancer's does! Luckily, I had another Moondancer in sad shape, but a word to the wise: count how many plugs you're going to need before deciding on donors. Having finished the hair, I carefully added a red and yellow comet symbol and removed all the white freckles from the face. Voila! A custom! ^_^
